My Opinion:
Darkness Falls is one of those pleasant surprises you sometimes get when you pick up a movie off the rental shop shelf. From the cover it looks like your usual boring horror movie, but once you get it home you find it has that little bit extra. The opening has you on the edge of your seat (or behind your cushion) and sets up the whole movie. There are some wonderful scenes in the film which keep the tension as the victims try to stay in the light and out of the shadows, but this soon starts to get a little boring as not a lot else happens. There's no real blood or guts and so the tension is relied on to keep it going. The DVD isn't 'light' on the extras so you won't be left in the 'dark' about the film.
