The Video says: Naive graduates John Loengard and Kimberley Sayers come to Washington in 1961 and find themselves places as a Congressional aide and an assistant to Jackie Kennedy. But they soon discover that beneath the glamour lies a dark and terrifying truth. Since 1947, a secret government operation known as 'Majestic-12' has been mobilised, following the recovery of a crashed extra-terrestrial spacecraft near Roswell, New Mexico. Loengard is recruited into MJ-12 and is shown the debris of the 1947 crash by his new commander, Captain Frank Bach. His first mission leads to the discovery of a ganglion-like parasite which implants itself in the human brain, controlling its host's thoughts and actions. It becomes clear that the 'Hive' of alien creatures is gradually 'recruiting' humans, who walk unseen among us. When Sayers survives implantation, the two decide to take their knowledge to the highest authority. President Kennedy's commitment to eliminating the unseen danger is immediate, but just days later in Dallas, Texas, he is assassinated. Now Loengard and Sayers are considered loose cannons by MJ-12 and are being pursued by an organisation that will go to any lengths to protect their secret. Running Time: 89 mins Version: Home Video PAL Colour Certificate: 12 My Opinion: Ok, this isn't exactly a horror film, but more like a sci-fi television pilot. But it does have horror elements in it. It's great in it's own right, but as a horror film, it doesn't quite make it. |
