The DVD says:

The definitive zombie film Dawn Of The Dead - Director's Cut, is acclaimed as one of the best horror films ever made. This cult classic is George A. Romero's nightmare vision of a world populated by flesh-eating zombies and four individuals struggling for survival. "As the oil runs out, as the Three Mile Island nuclear plant sprays radiation into the atmosphere like an atomic teakettle that someone forgot to take off the burner and as the dollar gradually becomes more and more transparent, Romero invites us into a crazed bedlam where zombies stagger up and down escalators, stare with dulled fascination at department store dummies wearing fur coats and try to eat perfume bottles. The movie's four protagonists at first segregate themselves from this world, and then, unknowingly, become a part of it. The only difference is that they're not dead. At least not yet." - Stephen King, Rolling Stone Magazine.

My Opinion:

No change of opinion here: "This is the best zombie movie that has ever been made! If you don't have this in your collection then shame on you. George A. Romero brings to the screen the ultimate zombie movie. Even though some of the acting is wooden and the film is starting to age, there is no denying the fact that there is no other zombie movie to compare it to. The music and direction make the film a classic piece of horror and the director's cut (which this is) is even better." The DVD offers an excellent commentary by Tom Savini, but other than that is a bit lacking. Still worth getting, if just for the commentary.
