The DVD says: Get ready for the ultimate showdown! It's been nearly ten years since Freddy, from the Nightmare on Elm Street series, invaded peoples' dreams to exact his deadly form of revenge and murder. But now his memory has been systematically erased by a town determined to put an end to Freddy once and for all. Until, that is, Freddy resurrects Jason, the equally iconic madman from the Friday the 13th film series. Jason is the perfect means for Freddy to once again instill fear on Elm Street and start a new reign of terror. But as the bodies begin to pile up, he discovers that Jason isn't willing to cease his murderous ways and step aside so easily. Now, with a terrified town in the middle, the two titans of terror enter into a horrifying showdown of epic proportions. Running Time: 93 mins Region: 2 Ratio: 2.35:1 Sound: Dolby Digital 5.1 Special Features: Director's Commentary with Freddy and Jason, Deleted/Alternate Scenes, Trailer and TV Spots, Music Video, Behind the Scenes, Visual Effects Featurette, Storyboards and Galleries. Certificate: 18 My Opinion: At last, the film everyone has been waiting for has arrived! The matchup that everyone wanted to see has finally reached DVD. Freddy Krueger and Jason Voorhees meet for the first time and have produced a great movie against all odds. Sequels aren't usually any good, but this one doesn't take itself too seriously which helps. Surprising Kane Hodder was dropped from the role of Jason for this one, but Ken Kirzinger does the walking maggot feed role proud. Robert Englund returns yet again, as no one else could even think about being able to play Freddy. The DVD contains a bunch of nice extras with the commentary being a particularly good one. I can't quite give it 5 bloody hearts as it's really just the usual sanitised Nightmare On Elm Street/Friday The 13th stuff, but is definitely one of the best of the crop.
