Gremlins (DVD)

The DVD says: Don't ever get it wet. Keep it away from bright light. And no matter how much it cries, no matter how much it begs... never, ever feed it after midnight. With these instructions, young Billy Peltzer takes possession of his cuddly new pet. Billy will get a whole lot more than he bargained for. "Gremlins" is hilariously funny and wickedly scary. One minute you'll hide your eyes in fright, the next you'll hold your sides with laughter. If you saw "The Howling", "Innerspace" or "Matinee", you have already experienced director Joe Dante's delirious visual magic. Here those skills are on breathtaking display; the result is a roller coaster ride of wild originality. Running Time: 102 mins Region: 2 Ratio: 1.85:1 Sound: Dolby Digital 5.1 Special Features: None! Certificate: 15 My Opinion: Gremlins is one of the funniest movies ever. Not to give too much away, if you haven't seen it, but the Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs scene is hilarious! I laugh every time I see it. The only problem with this release is Warner's complete lack of ability to provide extras. I'm going to be a bit p****d if they release another version later on including the extras. The only reason I'm not giving this five bloody hearts is because of the lack of extras. |
