The DVD says: It's spring break and the college kids want to party. When they charter a boat to take them to a rave on a nearby island, they find it completely deserted, except for the bloodthirsty zombies that have taken it over. A frantic search begins for weapons to use against the encroaching killers because, as nighttime falls, they realize that their only hope for survival is to win the final battle... in the HOUSE OF THE DEAD. Running Time: 90 mins Region: 1 Ratio: 16:9 Sound: Dolby Digital 6.1 & 5.1 Special Features: Deleted Scenes, Featurettes, Audio Commentary, Theatrical Trailer, Nightshade trailer, Trailer Gallery. Certificate: R My Opinion: This could have been so much better, but for most of the film this is a second rate B movie, which just doesn't reach the same mark as films such as Land Of The Dead. In particular, the makeup effects are disappointing and the story is pretty much non existant. There's a long fight sequence which certainly nods it's head to The Matrix and there's a plenty of connections to the computer games with some irritating intercut shots. The DVD has a large bunch of extras for a single disc release. REVIEW EXTRA: Screenshots - May contain spoilers |
