My Opinion:

The director of this short film wisely decided to use 16mm black and white film, which provides the story with an edge that wouldn't have been as effective if it had been filmed in colour. Though it has been produced on the smallest of budgets, this film still looks far more professional than some of the major studio backed movies. Everything comes together with decent acting performances, excellent direction and editing and a thumping soundtrack which makes the 18 minutes pass too quickly and leave you wanting more. If you have a surround sound system make sure you select the 5.1 soundtrack as it really is worth it. A couple of things that should be noted is that the film is currently only available as a DVD-R disc and may not be compatible with older DVD players and the second is that none of the extras have english subtitles. I had enjoyed the film and wanted to find out more, but my spoken french is pretty much non existant. These small items don't spoil what is an excellent show piece though and I would hope it will give the director the recognition he deserves.
