The DVD says:

Sometimes dead is better. But the shocking terror that plagued Ludlow, Maine, in "Pet Sematary" is still very much alive in this heartstopping sequel to the 1989 hit film written by Stephen King. After the death of his wife, veterinarian Chase Matthews (Anthony Edwards, TV's "ER") and his 13-year-old son Jeff (Edward Furlong, "Terminator 2: Judgment Day") move to Ludlow to rebuild their lives. Antagonised by the neighbourhood kids, Jeff befriends another outsider, Drew Gilbert, who lives in fear of his cruel stepfather Gus (Clancy Brown, "Highlander"). After Gus cold-bloodedly shoots Drew's beloved dog, the boys bury the body in the local Indian burial grounds - a place rumoured to have powers of resurrection. When evil is awakened, the boys realise that sometimes you should just let dead dogs lie.

My Opinion:

Not as good as the first film, but still a good movie never the less. Edward Furlong is as wooden as ever, but Clancy Brown steals the show to give a fantastic performance as the living dead cop. There's a very noticable difference between the dead dog and the live one, but if you squint hard enough you may be able to miss it. The DVD is barren except for the trailer.
