The DVD says:

Legendary Vampire Lestat (Stuart Townsend - Wonderland) has risen from a decades-long slumber and reinvented himself as the closest thing to God on Earth: a Rock Star. The intoxicating lure of his music has snaked its way around the globe, awakening the 6,000 year old Egyptian vampire, Akasha, the Queen of all Vampires (Aaliyah - Romeo Must Die). Resting for centuries, Akasha has been waiting for the right time to rise again and seize domination over the world. Lestat's music is the revelation she has been awaiting for, and she desires that he rule beside her. But can Akasha be stopped? After all, she is used to getting everything she wants... and all she wants is Hell on Earth. A dark, stylistic horror, adapted from the book by Anne Rice and sequel to Interview With The Vampire. Scary and sexy with spectacular music and special effects throughout.

My Opinion:

This sequel to Interview With The Vampire has a fantastic Rock soundtrack and is Aaliyah's final movie appearance before her untimely death in a plane crash. This was never going to be as good as Interview, but it does have an appeal in it's own right. It's a very modern vampire tale and as such has some great special effects. The DVD has a large number of extras and is a good example of what all new releases should be like.
