The DVD says: Wealthy Bruno Rubin (F. Murray Abraham - Finding Forrester) enters the restaurant where Jeff Obold (Aiden Gillen - Circle Of Friends) works, attracted by Jeff's 1969 GTO car in the parking lot. The two men discover they both share a love of classic cars and Bruno invites Jeff and his wife Maria (Nina Siemaszko - Jakob The Liar) to a party at his estate. It's there that Jeff meets 'The Darkling'; a powerful shadowy force that Bruno discovered on a trip to Hong Kong. The Darkling offers Jeff wealth and fame in return for his soul. Jeff agrees and sinks deeper into its power. Soon he discovers the true price to pay for the fulfilment of dreams - the life of his young daughter. Running Time: 86 mins Region: 2 Ratio: 4:3 Sound: Dolby Digital 2.0 Special Features: None. Certificate: 12 My Opinion: Not the most exciting horror movie ever made, but the acting performances are good. The film just suffers from a slow script and is of a minimal horrific nature, hence the 12 rating. Only worth watching is you're bored and your teenage child are around. The DVD is a Prism release and is therefore completely featureless. REVIEW EXTRA: Screenshots - May contain spoilers |
