The DVD says:

The belief in evil - and that evil can be cast out. From these two strands of faith, author William Peter Blatty and director William Friedkin wove The Exorcist, the frightening and realistic story of an innocent girl inhabited by a malevolent entity. Academy Award winner Friedkin, who introduces the film and supervised this new video transfer from restored picture and audio elements, gets effective performances from Linda Blair, Ellen Burstyn, Jason Miller, Max von Sydow and Lee J. Cobb. Winner of 1973 Oscars for Best Adapted Screenplay (by Blatty) and Best Sound, The Exorcist remains, 25 years later, one of the most shocking and gripping movies ever made.

My Opinion:

We're not worthy, we're not worthy! Wow, this is the best DVD release so far! Tons of extras which will take forever to view and an excellent movie to boot. The picture quality is superb with the audio only let down by the source. The documentary is over 50 minutes in length and there is so much on the disk that they had to make it a flipper (with the movie on one side, the extras on the other). And because I pre-ordered it, I only paid £12.79 instead of the £19.99 rrp. Get it now!
